New Home Consultant

Rockford Homes has an immediate full-time position for a New Home Consultant Team Member. The ideal candidate will consistently make new home sales by demonstrating product features and benefits, exploring various home designs, and presenting relevant solutions to potential homebuyers. They will utilize proper sales and marketing techniques, follow Company guidelines, and use the knowledge of their assigned community to achieve Company goals to ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with Company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages sales generation by utilizing Corporate marketing materials, model homes, local resources and Realtor relationships. Show the community, lots and spec homes to prospects and realtors. Market community (participation in local events or local sales organizations).
  • Serves as trusted advisor/primary point of contact for home buyer from initial meeting through home closing. Scope may vary during phases of sales process.
  • Tour, demonstrate, and maintain model homes.
  • Generates excitement by effectively identifying needs of potential home buyers and matching related solutions.
  • Builds confidence with potential home buyer by selling features/benefits of Rockford Homes product and experience to include:
  • Comparatively shops products of competitors and visits those operating in same geographical areas
  • Prospect and visit Realtors.
  • Maintain Inventory homes in all assigned developments in a neat and professional manner
  • Maintains buyer interest by effectively using listening and negotiating skills when confronted with objections, skepticism, conflict, etc. and counters with specific alternatives.
  • Guarantees a realistic, but satisfactory home building experience for the home buyer by proactively communicating to the home buyer during entire home building process. Communicates appropriate information to other Rockford personnel.
  • Attends Buyer Builder Conference.
  • Show/walk lots and homes under construction with customers under contract.
  • Maintain real estate signs in all assigned developments.
  • Community management (drive/walk through community to check on appearance, signage, maintenance status of homes). Visit homes under construction to check on status.
  • Meets with construction personnel regarding issues/status of homes.
  • Ensures fair and consistent treatment by effectively solving problems when they occur, to the extent empowered to do so.
  • Utilize Company systems which include but are not limited to Mark Systems and Lasso CRM.
  • Provides consistency in superior customer service by effectively providing direction and coordination of an associate’s workflow through guidance and instructions.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and the company.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in real estate sales of 2-3 years.
  • MUST have experience in Homebuilding.
  • Valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime.
  • 5-day work week with weekends and some holiday hours.

Inside Sales – New Home Specialist

Rockford Homes is looking for an Inside Sales – New Home Specialist who will be responsible for discovering the needs of potential home buyers and the scheduling of appointments with our New Home Consultants and transitioning those leads to appointments and ultimately to sales. You MUST be superstar on the phone, a wizard with email communication, and extremely comfortable using computer programs. Previous new home sales experience not required. Exceptional compensation includes salary, commission, and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all e-mail and phone leads immediately.
  • Qualify the leads based on needs.
  • Provide consistent follow-up to online prospects with the goal of setting an appointment with the Onsite Sales Agent.
  • Provide information and marketing material to prospects.
  • Respond to the sales line and voice mail for leads.
  • Work with the prospect to determine the best community and floor plan.
  • Utilize lead-management software.
  • Create and deliver ongoing e-mail campaigns.
  • Track and report on lead activity and sales conversion ratios.
  • Maintain website content.
  • Monitor third-party websites and online advertising.
  • Continually research the competition and their online activities.

Construction Punch Out Specialist

Rockford Homes is seeking an experienced, hands-on Punch Out Specialist to work in multiple subdivisions throughout Columbus, OH. Work will include install and repair as well as adjusting and re-finishing non-licensed trade items. Wages range from $16/hr. to $20/hr. and are dependent upon experience. A full benefits package is also available.

Responsibilities

  • Various punch out work as instructed by supervisor.
  • Assist service department in completing overflow warranty item lists generated by homeowners.
  • Informs Superintendent of any problems associated with the construction of the houses/units in the subdivision.
  • Secure the company’s property and protect it from theft, vandalism and damage.

Purchasing/Estimating Systems Manager

Rockford Homes has an immediate opening for a full-time Purchasing / Estimating Systems Manager.  This position is a 40 hour per week office position that will play an integral role on the purchasing / estimating team for all single-family home developments. This position will also provide assistance and information to many other departments including the field production staff.

This role offers a great opportunity for a self-driven individual who wants to be involved in almost all facets of home building. Thus, requiring someone who is system focused but also enjoys different challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain base house and option assemblies as well as pricing database using ECI Mark Systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Budget review for accuracy prior to purchase order issuance to include; quantity take-off, estimating, and confirming house specific quotes for custom options.
  • Track, analyze and implement all price increase requests.
  • Coordinate and execute the on-boarding of new subs and vendors.
  • Maintain and improve sub / vendor database as the company expands into new markets.
  • Work with Senior Estimator to bid out and estimate new plans and options directly communicating with the subs and vendors to review, analyze and organize all quotes.
  • Assist with the estimating of custom change requests.
  • Complete and verify information for reports as needed.
  • Work with team members to correct existing purchase orders as needed tracing the variance or error back to its source and correcting the problem(s).
  • Work with team members to maintain, clarify and update all trade specific scopes of work.
  • Recommend changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Experience in ECI Mark Systems (Homebuilder Software) a Plus.
  • Ability to Interpret Blueprints and Perform Quantity Takeoffs for All Phases of Construction.
  • 3 Years Experience in Construction.

Rockford Homes is seeking an experienced, hands-on Laborer/Punch Out Specialist to work on our multi-family residential construction project in Centerville, Ohio. Work will include install and repair as well as adjusting and re-finishing non-licensed trade items.

Responsibilities

  • Various punch out work as instructed by supervisor. (i.e. drywall repair, paint touch up, carpentry work, etc…).
  • Informs Superintendent of any problems associated with the construction of the units within the assigned project.
  • Secure the company’s property and protect it from theft, vandalism, and damage.
  • Execute company policies and enforce uniformity on construction methods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain safety according to OSHA on site.

Job Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Familiarity with OSHA a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated site in daytime and nighttime.

Assistant Controller

Rockford Construction has an immediate need for a bright, enthusiastic, committed to growth, and customer focused full-time Assistant Controller/Project Accountant, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is primarily responsible for the processing and administration of project-related accounting on both the commercial and residential sides of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial life cycle of construction projects from inception through closing.
  • Processing progress billings as well as managing the creation, review, and submission to all stakeholders.
  • Helping to facilitate the processing of cash receipts and the prompt payment of associated subcontractors.
  • Participate in month-end close reconciliations and processes including job costing, journal entries, variance analysis and reporting, cash flow management, and other month-end checklist tasks.
  • Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer to create and standardize monthly and quarterly financial reporting, cost and budget analysis, and analytical benchmarking.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in area of accounting or finance with 10+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of five years of construction accounting and billing experience, ideally with both fixed price (lump sum) and cost-plus/Gross Maximum Price (GMP) based projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
